#11: Louise Van Rhyn on Partnering for Possibilities

My guest today is Louise Van Rhyn, a social entrepreneur – founder and CEO of Symphonia, a leadership development practice based in South Africa.

Louise believes in cross-sector collaboration and her approach is shaped by 20 years of working as an organisational change practitioner as well as a doctorate in Complex Social Change.

In 2010, she started the Partners for Possibility program: an innovative process to improve education in South Africa through collaborative partnerships between business leaders and school principals.

I spoke to Louise online from her home in South Africa. We talk about how her passions for leadership development and education emerged over time, her love of finding inspirational mentors, how a move from the UK back to South Africa sparked entrepreneurial intentions and her idea for rekindling the possibilities for nation-building and how we need partnership to replace patriarchy in all forms.
