#14: Piyush Mathur on Humility for Impact

My guest today is Piyush Mathur, CEO and Co-Founder of Simpa Networks, a Delhi-based company leading a solar revolution across rural India by making clean power simple, affordable and accessible to everyone.

Piyush started his career as a Chartered Accountant with Deloitte and KPMG before taking an MBA at London Business School and then moving into private equity, where he first became aware of the huge developmental and financial potential of solar.

I spoke to Piyush face to face at his busy HQ in Noida, just outside Delhi. We talk about the importance of having an impact-driven focus personally, professionally and socially, as well as the need for humility and being open to learning from all around when founding and building a new venture.
